Everyone knows the importance of adequate water supply in a household. It's a necessity, just like food, clothes, and other daily essentials. But, ironically, at least one of us struggles to get pumped up water from roof tanks, ground tanks, or break tanks.
So, what's the best way to easily resolve this problem? How do you ensure a consistent water supply to fulfill domestic needs and applications? The answer is booster pumps.
Grundfos booster pumps are exclusively designed pumps that offer optimal pressure to pump water from shallow wells and tanks (including roof, ground, and break tanks). These pumps are also ideal for pressure boosting from city mains water.

Grundfos Company Overview
Based in Denmark, Grundfos is one of the largest manufacturers of pumps, with 19,000 employees and 16 million annual productions. The company is known for its high-quality pump units, submersible pumps, circulator pumps, and centrifugal pumps.
To mention their history, the company was established by Poul Due Jensen as Bjerringbro Pressestøberi og Maskinfabrik (Bjerringbro Die-casting Foundry and Machine Factory) in 1944. Eventually, the name changed to Grundfoss as per their product. Later, an extra s was removed from the company, and they settled up at Grundfos.
Back in 1944, Poul and his team were focused on offering heating and sanitation services. It was in 1945 when they got an order for small automatic waterworks. For his work, Poul was looking for a high-quality electric pump, which he couldn't find. That's when he thought of producing one himself in 1945. It is also marked as the year when the company began its pump activities.
The first pump he developed was named Foss 1 and nicknamed "the pig." The main reason behind its quirky name was the design that gave similar vibes. Foss, the newly developed pump, was a shallow groundwater piston pump that was manufactured to extract water from wells 7 meters in depth.
As it was a double-action pump, it had the potency to pump the water both in a forward and backward motion, which was quite useful. Thanks to the outstanding approach, nearly 26 pumps of this particular model were manufactured and sold.
As the years passed, Grundfos went on to manufacture more and more pump varieties with multistage centrifugal pumps in 1952, borehole pumps in 1953, and circulator pumps in 1959. They also introduced the submersible pumps made of stainless steel in the year 1967. These pumps were quite popular among customers as they were made entirely of stainless steel.
Eventually, the company also manufactured the booster pumps in several categories, including the CM series, CMBE series, CME series, and CME Plus series. Its Scala 1 and Scala 2 series are their best sellers, which Pump Products proudly distributes across the US.
These Scala series pumps are water booster pumps that offer consistent water pressure in taps/fixtures. The models are ideal for both domestic and residential applications. These pumps are also reliable, compact, and easy to install.
In 2017, Grundfos celebrated 50 years of their submersible pumps. While they have made several advanced improvements and come up with new applications, the company has been particular with its authenticity. That's why they have kept their original pump construction principle intact.
The present CEO of the company is Poul Due Jensen. His global experience with leadership qualities/values has made him a crucial part of Grundfos.
